Shared Memories of Beth Abraham

Rabbi Lowey said i had the longest haftarah due to my Bar Mitzvah falling on Saturday June 24, 1961 at Beth Abraham on Seven Mile road in Detroit. Thankfully, his private tutoring of me for two years paid off and I sang it as best I could and that my voice had changed to a deeper tenor for its singing.

I was married at the Beth Abraham 7 Mile rd site in 1965. My father-in-law was an active member and friend of Cantor Ackerman.
